Uploading and Managing Sales Data

Keeping your sales data current is essential for accurate dashboards and projections. AgencyIQ makes it safe and easy to upload data regularly, with built-in deduplication that prevents double-counting.

Upload Frequency

Upload at minimum once a month, ideally weekly. The more current the data, the more accurate the projections and AI insights. Some agencies export and upload every Friday to keep things fresh going into the new week.

Re-uploading Files

It is completely safe and expected to re-upload files. The system uses smart matching on client name, date, and product to detect duplicates. Records that match an existing sale get updated with any new information. Brand new records get inserted. Records that are completely identical get skipped. That means you can export your full book from your agency system and upload it every time without creating duplicates.

Upload History

Every upload is logged and visible on the Data Upload page. For each upload you see the upload date, the data period covered, the file name, record counts for new/updated/skipped, and the processing status.

Viewing Upload Details

Click the eye icon on any upload in your history to see the full breakdown of every row — which records were newly inserted, which were updated with changes, and which were skipped because they were identical to existing data.

Data Period

Each upload shows a "Data Period" indicating the date range of the sales in that file (for example, "Jan – Feb 2026"). This is determined at upload time based on the dates in your file, so it stays accurate even as you upload newer data later.

Tip. Upload your sales data at least monthly. Weekly is even better for real-time tracking. The more current your data, the more accurate your projections and AI insights will be.
